  1. Thanks Meredith. Making these pet portraits is such fun! Working with other pet owners is giving me an insight I never really had before. Pets are such an extension of their owners. Very exciting discoveries, for sure!

  2. That last portrait of Georgia is absolutely stunning. Perfect lines and a gorgeously captured expression. It reminds me of the best of David Hobby's environmental portraits, and I don't say that lightly. Well done, Alex!

  3. Thanks so much Justin. Working with a new lens and playing with light in fun new ways. Strangely enough, not shooting with flash much outside lately. Too darned cold.

  4. Most of the time I am working with a 70-200 f2.8 VR lens. It seldom is off my camera. With many of these I was shooting with the 60mm macro. Both are absolutely the most amazing lenses I have ever worked with. The 70-200 is insane though. Carry that around for an hour and you know it. You feel it the next day.

Now ask me how I came by this new (to me) lens...
