Go Stand In The Corner

At the end of September we were looking at a very odd stalled sort of fall. Some trees had changed colors, and others had not even begun. All of a sudden things got grey very fast. Leaves fell off the trees without changing color. It was strange.

Amidst it all, there was this one tree near a parking garage in Ithaca. It turned this lovely glowing orange and stayed that color for weeks. Bit by bit, the winds tore the warm leaves off the tree, just leaving these last few.

Surfing Back in Time

This photo was taken probably ten years ago, when we visited Misquamicut Beach in Rhode Island with Nancy's parents. It was a cold day at the beach. We were the only ones walking on the sand. Aurora and I were the only ones in the water, romping in the waves. This would be her first summer safely swimming on her own. Some of the photos of her swimming in the hotel pool clearly demonstrate that she had no intention of being on top of the water. Once she could swim, it was DOWN!

Looking back at these old scans, I realize how much fun it was playing in the waves with Aurora. We didn't have many opportunities for that sort of time. Back then so much of our life was tied up in the studio and the constant struggle with Aurora's mom. Through it all, we managed to create some wonderful fun!
